En Route To London: My Journey
August 31, 2015
Uncategorized

I picked up my phone today to check the time and my eyes drifted from the time to the date. August 31st. What? It’s basically September and I’m trying to get a grip on the idea of time passing so quickly, especially due to the fact that I can officially say I leave home in less than a month. My night went from incredibly relaxed to full on panic. I went over to my parents’ room to tell them I was hot and couldn’t fall asleep and my mom immediately realized I was antsy and nervous and of course, she mentioned this and I ended up confessing the truth behind my unexpected visit. I had had a week off my computer and it had felt so great that when I opened it today to watch Scandal I decided I wanted another week off, but in the midst of my nervous breakdown I found myself going over all my lists and…

Get To Know Me Tag

Her Way

Hello everyone and welcome back! I thought it was about time to make one of these. I didn’t do the normal question/answer but instead I wrote 25 randoms facts that I thought you guys could like! 1. Mia is the shortened form of my first name in Hebrew. I found this out a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with the nickname. 2. I was born in Venezuela and moved at a very young age. Since then I’ve lived in Canada, Mexico and Argentina. 3. My next stop is London, as I will go there to study fashion design and marketing 4. Before I decided on my career I was actually looking into studying international affairs and was pretty convinced that’s what I wanted to do. I still like it but I’m just glad I went with both my heart and brains in my decision. 5. When I was nine I used to sketch dresses and wanted to…

To School For Cool? 6 Tips On Getting Through High School
July 20, 2015
Her Way

As much as I love fashion, makeup and all those big topics of conversation in my blog there’s one thing I’m always reaching out to: advice. Because we’ve all been there and we all need it. Today I wanted to talk, or give advice, on a topic in particular that I, as a former high school student, always reached out to and that is high school itself. How, what, who? Now, truth is, advice can help you get by but the real advice is the one you’ll give to yourself from experience and that’s what this post is about, helping you get through that experience (alive). Whether you’re soon to be a freshman, a senior, or in between, I really hope this helps. 1. Be you I can’t stress this enough. Not being yourself in fear you’ll be judged is something that happens to freshmen and seniors, even with the experience more than half way lived. It is so easy…

Four Summer Outfit Ideas For All Occasions
July 6, 2015
Fashion

I really try to at least look presentable every time I leave my house, of course presentable doesn’t always mean street-style-me-right-now fashionable. But with Summer comes changes and fun activities to go along with those changes (wardrobe, maybe?) and I thought I’d bring you a few outfit inspirations for this time of the year. I did a set of two outfits a bit more on the pricey side and another set of more affordable ones, but do keep in mind these are for inspiration and imitation so feel free to recreate them with what’s on your wardrobe and maybe even give it a personal twist. The Ultimate All Black I’m one of those people that wear black all year long. Guilty as charged. No shame here, I just feel black is a timeless color and it goes with everything, even during the summer! Above the knee dresses are perfect for those casually chic moments and this one hits the spot…

My London Sightseeing Bucketlist
July 3, 2015
Travel

Out of the so many things that inspire me traveling has to be at the top of the list, more when we add a dose of fashion in it. I’m driven to make this blog about lifestyle and aesthetics and about everything that makes me passionate. In a matter of months I will be on my way to London to start a new journey. I have a huge list of places I want to visit and things I want to see in my head I thought It’d only be logical that I wrote some of them down. So here it is: my personal London sight-seeing bucket list! (shortened) London Eye It’s probably what I’m looking forward to the most! I have a thing for being high above the land accompanied by an amazing view so this will definitely be one of the first things I do when landing in London Town. Cereal Killer Cafe I’m so ready to have cereal…

June Favorites • Makeup
June 26, 2015
Beauty

As June wraps up to an end I thought I’d share a few of my make-up favorites of the month. Now, do keep in mind I spent half of June in the summer and the other half in the winter but to be fair, these products worked just fine for me on both. So if you’re enjoying the sun (like I’m sure most of you are) or if you’re on the side of the equator that’s freezing to death, do consider these products a possible investment (most of them are high end, I splurged, soz). From left to right as seen on the picture: MAC Mineralize Foundation/Loose in Light – You can use this as a foundation but the coverage is very minimal. I like to use it as a setting powder to mattify my face. MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC25 – I just discovered this product and it is by far my favorite of the month. Quick to…

Someday is today
February 18, 2015
Her Way

The day of my seventeenth birthday was a very special one. Mostly because I felt I had my future all figured out, and even though that was just a year ago I realize I knew nothing. I know nothing. I know my directions, the paths I want to take and I know for a fact I’ll be making some mistake along the way which I’ll end up calling lessons. But really, what is there to know? That night, before the clock ticked 12 am, signaling it was not my birthday anymore, I posted a picture on instagram, and captioned it ‘Someday is today.’ It was a picture of New York City’s landscape, center focused on the Empire State, but being a big fan of words myself, it was the quote on top of the picture that caught my attention, it read: “It’s the oldest story in the world. One day, you’re 17 and you’re planning for someday. And then quietly,…
