A liitle while ago I styled the advertising campaign for Autograph Fashion starring Julie Goodwin who won the first Masterchef.

As promised, here are the pics.

Hi. My name is Lydia and I am an accessory addict !!!

Whilst I do this for clients, it has been years since I did a wardrobe cleanse for myself and since I am moving this is the perfect time. I have known for years that I have a spending problem. It doesn’t help that I am a fashion stylist and my work is literally looking at fashion before most people. Plus I was also lucky enough in London to be given lots of gifts (doesn’t happen as much in Sydney).

Whilst this all sounds great, it has left me with a very large job on my hands. I find it very hard to let go of things which is why I am so proud that I have managed to cull 38 pairs of shoes and 19 handbags (though my man just commented that that is only 7% of my collection – not true).

I haven’t started on hats, scarfs, gloves etc. Nor have I stared on jewellery and since I have my own jewellery label (Lydia Jewels) this may take a week or two.

I hereby declare in public that I will never ever let my wardrobe(s) get into the state they are in now !!

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of styling Julie Goodwin for a clothing label (which I will release when the ad campaign comes out). I am a huge fan of Masterchef and was extremely excited to be working with the winner from last season.

Julie was an absolute pleasure to work with. Sweet, funny, talkative, happy to be changed in and out of outfits, prodded and poked to make the outfit sit perfectly. She even discussed my new kitchen fit out with me and told me how to make perfect rice. (I can cook lots of things but rice I always screw up)

The location house we shot in was in Newport and was gorgeous. We entered it via a hill lift which was fun with all the clothing, props etc.

The day got even better when we witnessed dolphins and whales from the view.

I am often asked what it is like working on fashion shoots. This is a pretty extreme one, considering we had 11 models but it’s a pretty good indication. Check out the video.

Earlier this morning, actress Katrina Bowden appeared on Sunrise and The Morning Show.

Katrina plays the sexy and sometimes ditzy secretary to Tina Fey’s character Liz Lemon.

I am a massive fan of 30 Rock (I admit to having a bit of a crush on Alec Baldwin) so was very excited when I was given the job of styling her for these appearances and a few others (which I will blog about as they happen)

Katrina is in Sydney as the face of Wish Clothing. She is shooting the Spring campaign.

She has been an absolute pleasure to work with so far and I am looking forward to styling her next week for some magazines which I can’t reveal yet.
