As June wraps up to an end I thought I’d share a few of my make-up favorites of the month. Now, do keep in mind I spent half of June in the summer and the other half in the winter but to be fair, these products worked just fine for me on both. So if you’re enjoying the sun (like I’m sure most of you are) or if you’re on the side of the equator that’s freezing to death, do consider these products a possible investment (most of them are high end, I splurged, soz).
From left to right as seen on the picture:
MAC Mineralize Foundation/Loose in Light – You can use this as a foundation but the coverage is very minimal. I like to use it as a setting powder to mattify my face.
MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC25 – I just discovered this product and it is by far my favorite of the month. Quick to put on and the coverage is pretty decent for a powder foundation. You can also build it up as much as you want to go from a casual to a more do-ey look. Amazing.
MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty – I love MAC’s mineralized products because they give such a gorgeous shimmer to my skin without making me look like a spectrum. I would say it’s a little more suitable for the summer but it’s great for a natural look during the winter.
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Vintage Selection – This was my go-to eyeshadow on my very short glimpse of summer. Again, you can build the color up or complement it with a darker color on the crease but it’s also great to just throw up with some mascara. Absolutely love this.
Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara in 090 – My eyelashes have not seen better days. This is their prime and it’s all thanks to this mascara. Go ahead and splurge on it. You can thank me later.
MAC Lipstick Retro Matte in “Relentlessly Red” – A matte lip is a good lip. The pictures don’t do this lipstick justice and I will admit this complements better during the summer and with a tan but it is such a beautiful color for every occasion. This is like the summer version of MAC’s “Ruby Woo” which is one of my ultimate favorites.
MAC Lipstick Matte in “Men Love Mystery” – This is one of MAC’s new babies and it is very similar to “Heroine” only more bomb looking. Reads statement lip all over it and it’s beautifully pigmented. If you’re not that used to wearing such bold lips, just give yourself a chance. I went from feeling uncomfortable with wearing tinted chapstick to be all up in that statement lip.
Urban Decay’s De-Slick Make-up Setting Spray for Oil Control – pretty self-explanatory.
So there it is! All of these products are recent purchases and I will be linking all of them below for your pleasure. Enjoy!
